Pet Peace of Mind Receives National VIC Innovation Award

The Veterinary Innovation Council is a collaborative, industry-wide initiative developed by North American Veterinary Community designed to focus on leading innovation in global animal health.

The goals of this award program are to recognize and celebrate innovation in the veterinary profession and animal health industry. “We are so proud to honor and recognize the talented innovators and organizations that align with the mission of providing better care for animals everywhere,” said Aaron Massecar, executive director, Veterinary Innovation Council.

Nominations were received from members of the veterinary community between February and May 2017.  A 16 member advisory board selected a subset of the most innovative nominees and presented them to the animal health industry for crowd-sourced voting. More than 4,000 votes were cast for the awards.

“We are incredibly honored to be the first nonprofit organization to be recognized among so many innovative organizations,” says Dianne McGill, Pet Peace of Mind’s founder and president. “We are grateful for the efforts from our veterinary and hospice partners, as well as countless volunteers, who make our much-needed program possible for hospice patients everywhere.”
